Anyone arrested in Florida has the right to appear before a judge within 24 hours. This critical hearing determines:

Common Reasons You May Be Held Without Bond
Probation Hold
If you’re on felony probation, you may not be released until your probation judge approves it. We can argue for release or ROR at first appearance.
Out on Felony Bond
If you are out on Bond, and are arrested for a new Felony, you’re violating your bond conditions. Although you may be eligible for a Bond on the new case, there will be a hold for your original judge on the case you were out on Bond for. Thus, you will not be released, unless you have an aggressive and persuasive attorney to point out why you are entitled to be released. You’re Attorney may also enter into a negotiated resolution with the State that will allow you to Bond out, despite the new case.
Nebbia Hold
Common in drug trafficking cases. We help demonstrate that bail funds are from a legitimate source, a requirement to lift this hold.
Immigration Hold
If ICE places a hold due to immigration status, you may be ineligible for bond. We coordinate with immigration attorneys when needed.
Out-of-County or Out-of-State Warrants

What Happens at Your First Appearance Bond Hearing?
During the hearing, the judge will:
